We use so-called “cookies” on several web pages, in order to make a visit to our website attractive and to enable certain functions to be used. These are text files, which the provider of an Internet site saves on the user's computer and can access again when the website is next visited, so that navigating or conducting transactions within the Internet is easier, and information about user behaviour can be retrieved.

Most of the cookies used by us are deleted from your hard drive after the end of the browser sitting (so-called “sitting or session cookies”).

II. Privacy Policy for our Facebook Fanpage Insights

Facebook Ireland Ltd ("Facebook") provides us as Facebook Fanpage operators with so-called "Facebook Insights" ("Insights"). These Insights are various statistics which give us information about the use of our Facebook Fanpage. Detailed information can also be found at www.facebook.com.

In order to be able to produce these statistics Facebook processes a variety of data (including personal data) provided by you. The personal data is processed by Facebook and ourselves as a joint responsibility within the meaning of Article 26 of the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). Below you will find the essential information about the agreement reached between Facebook and ourselves (https://www.facebook.com/legal/terms/page_controller_addendum) in accordance with Article 26 of the GDPR.

Our legal basis for processing the Insights data is our justified interest in accordance with Article 6, paragraph 1, sentence 1 lit. f of the GDPR. We have a justified interest in being able to track user behaviour on our Facebook Fanpage. It is therefore legitimate for us to be able to capture the extent and effectiveness of our campaigns, postings and other activities by means of the prepared statistics. This enables us to achieve needs-based and ongoing optimisation of our website and products on offer. This represents for us the purpose of the data processing.

Facebook may process the following data in particular:

  • Date and time of the action
  • Country/city (estimated from the IP address or imported from the user profile in the case of logged-in users)
  • Language code (from the browser HTTP header and/or language setting)
  • Age group/gender (from user profile, only for logged in users)
  • Previously visited websites (from the browser HTTP header)
  • Whether the action was taken on a computer or mobile device (from browser user agent or app attributes)
  • Facebook user ID (for logged-in users only)

The exact processing of your data when you visit our Facebook fan page depends on whether and how you use Facebook products. If you have an account with Facebook, the data can be permanently assigned by Facebook to your account, so that more can be learned about you in this way.

Even if you do not have an account with Facebook, your personal information can still be saved by Facebook. This can occur through the use of cookies. Here, it is mostly a case of small text files saved on your particular device. This text file is used to write various information, which can be read out again at a later time. It is therefore possible for Facebook to save and process information about you, even without you having a Facebook account. More detailed information about Facebook cookies can be found at de-de.facebook.com.

With regard to our Insights data, Facebook only provides us with anonymised statistics about the use of our fan page. We are only able to identify, how many users have performed certain interactions, and not which user has performed a certain action. The statistics for the Insights data do not therefore allow us any inference about a person.
